What is BIP?
BIP (from the English name "Blended Intensive Programme") allows university students in the European Union (and related programme countries) to implement short-term mobility in another programme country. These are short-term intensive programmes using innovative teaching methods combining physical and virtual activity. Physical activity can last from 5 to 30 days, in the country of the receiving university. The duration of the compulsory virtual activity is not specified, it is mostly an online course. At least 3 institutions from 3 programme countries always participate in this combined intensive programme.
Where?
Students can choose from a range of institutions in the Erasmus+ programme countries. Programme countries are countries fully involved in the Erasmus+ programme. These are the 28 EU member states, the EEA countries – Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, the countries of the outermost regions and from overseas countries and territories, as well as Turkey and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. List of countries also available here: https://www.ftz.czu.cz/dl/103216?lang=en.
What for that?
BIP should be an added value to existing courses, students must obtain a minimum of 3 ECTS credits. The stipend is awarded for each day of activity within BIP - extra days for travel are not included in the total length of mobility.
1st - 14th day = 79 EUR / day
15th - 30th day = 56 EUR / day
Students are not entitled to get travel expenses except for students with fewer opportunities (read the definitions and complete information about Participants with fewer opportunities in this file).
Insurance for BIP
The insurance requirements are applied the same to BIP as for other foreign mobilities, i.e. https://www.ftz.czu.cz/en/r-9422-international-relations/r-10721-other-international-mobilites/r-16713-travel-insurance-for-the-czu-students/travel-insurance-for-the-czu-students.html
Grant Agreement for BIP
The student signs the Grant agreement after:
1. complete nomination by the faculty coordinator (for the FTA students it is Mgr. Zora Fídlerová) to the Central International Relations Office.
After this nomination, the selected students will receive complete and precise instructions, among which there will be two more important points, namely:
2. Completing and submitting the OLA (Online Learning Agreement). How to fill in the OLA can be found HERE.
3. Submission of "Insurance certificate" to the relevant section in UIS
After signing the Grant Agreement, the student will receive the scholarship to the account listed in UIS in the " My placements abroad" section
And then what?
After returning, the students submit "Confirmation of the BIP duration", then "Transcript of Records" and complete the online EU Survey. On the basis of the first two mentioned documents, the student arranges the recognition of the BIP at the Study Administration Office of his/her faculty.
So how can I apply?
Once the student has chosen the BIP, he/she fills out the online application available here and thereby officially applies for financial support for mobility within the Erasmus+ BIP.
