All students enrolled at our Master's degree study programme Agri-food Systems and Rural Development (ASRD) are expected to include in their study schedules also Practical Training, an obligatory 5-ECTS course.
The aim is to enable students to gain practical experience directly from the institutions that are working in programme-related environment, such as partner universities, research institutes, private companies, NGOs, farmers' associations etc. Suitable institution should be identified in cooperation with the thesis supervisor, who is also (co-)signing all necessary documents.
Students will gain during this short-term internship experience with the organization and management of the company, they became familiar with everyday operational tasks and practical situations via active participation in the organization's activities and assisting in solving specific tasks. Students are expected to use and test the knowledge and skills they have gained while studying at the faculty.
Practical training should contribute or be closely linked to the topic of diploma thesis. This could result in synergy effect of working at university-private bases for example in obtaining useful data, getting better knowledge on useful methods or approaches, cooperation on project proposals, business plans etc.
More information could be found in the attached documents. Any questions will be responded during Scientific Seminars.
