Duration: 7 hours
Content: Based on updated theoretical and practical knowledge, this online training is directed to all stakeholders to be involved in the implementation and dissemination of the Gender Equality Plans. It is intended to provide relevant insights and hands-on experience in conducting institutional change and achieving sustainable results in terms of gender equality, gender sensitiveness and inclusion. This requires building a common understanding of the problems at stake and of the policy framework for tackling them, and to engage a conversation on gender neutral visions of merit and excellence, towards greater inclusiveness.
Learning objectives:
- Help to understand the concepts of sex and gender and other related concepts such as gender equality, inclusion, and diversity
- Introduce main gender inequalities in research organizations and universities as the problems to be solved
- Introduce EU policy framework for tackling gender and diversity in research and the academia and the notion of institutional change
- Build up capacities for delivering change through fostering stakeholders’ participation and learning from practice
