Biogas Research Team had a strong presence again at the Tropentag conference!
Our colleagues Lydia Mawar and Chama Theodore Ketuama participated in the Tropentag 2022 conference organized from September 14 to 16, 2022, at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences). Tropentag is an annual international conference on research in tropical and subtropical agriculture and rural development.
Since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago, the annual conference has been held online. This year's conference regained its splendor with the in-person participation that brought together over 600 participants from 60 countries to the additional 200 participants online. This year’s theme was “Can agroecological farming feed the world? Farmers' and academia's views”. Lydia also participated as a student reporter together with 12 international students from European Union (EU) university. The activities of student reporter were to provide information about the conference such as keynote speakers information, research innovation, and the whole series of events. The conference information was shared on social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, and blog). The main information shared by student reporters is scientific journalism to convey messages of knowledge to the public in a simple language that is easy to understand.
In terms of scientific involvement, the contributions of BRT members were accepted for oral and poster presentations.
In addition, BRT Group leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hynek Roubík was the chair of the entire 'Technology adoption and dissemination' section, which consisted of one oral session and two poster sessions. You can check the Twitter feed here.
