Join the Global Forestry (GloFor) Master’s Programme – Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree
The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences at CZU Prague proudly introduces the Global Forestry (GloFor) Master’s programme, a two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree designed to equip students with the skills to address critical global forestry challenges, such as biodiversity conservation, climate change, and the transition to a circular bio-economy.
Why Global Forestry? Deforestation and forest degradation present significant challenges worldwide. These issues contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity loss, and threaten the livelihoods of millions who depend on forest resources. The underlying causes are complex and include factors like climate change, poverty, agricultural expansion, and unequal land rights. GloFor addresses these issues by preparing graduates to work in low- and middle-income countries, tackling environmental and socio-economic challenges in sustainable forestry development.
Study at Europe’s Leading Universities The GloFor Consortium consists of five prestigious European universities:
- Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (Czech Republic)
- AgroParisTech, Montpellier and Kourou (France)
- Technical University of Dresden (Germany)
- University of Copenhagen (Denmark)
- University of Padua (Italy)
In the first semester, all students study together in Copenhagen. During the second semester, they undertake a field course in a selected developing country, and then move on to their chosen specialization at one of the partner universities, including Agroforestry Systems at CZU Prague. Graduates receive a double or multiple degree recognized in all participating countries, opening up a wealth of career opportunities in global forestry.
Apply to Global Forestry! If you are passionate about studying in an international setting and gaining hands-on experience across multiple countries, apply to the Global Forestry program.
Applications for non-EU applicants open on November 15, 2024.
Applications for EU applicants open on January 16, 2024.
