Time: 14:00 - 15:30
Location: FTZ Room 116
Central Africa is the frontline where the clash between expanding human civilization and native nature represented by the largest remaining populations of forest elephants, African great apes, and many other taxa is occurring. The talk will discuss specific cases from 14 years of travel, volunteering and working in Congo, Cameroon and Chad in conservation - from monitoring and documenting wildlife, to repression in the fight against wildlife crime, to development projects with local communities.
