ACCTING (AdvanCing behavioural Change Through an INclusive Green deal) produces knowledge and innovations to advance behavioural change for an inclusive and equal European Green Deal and this week is hosting an online webinar on:
“Rooted in equality: Strengthening food security through gender+ inclusive and sustainable small-scale farming“.
The webinar aims to have an open discussion about the agricultural policies and NGO practices needed to strengthen local farmers from a gender+ ecofeminist perspective. The facilitator and guest speakers will examine the recommendations outlined and discuss the necessity for new policies at all governance levels to align with a European Green Deal that leaves no one behind.
The conversation will start with an introduction from ACCTING researcher Ayşe Gül Altinay (Sabanci University) on recommendations from the ACCTING research and factsheet titled Local is Beautiful: Gender+ Inclusive Agricultural Policies and Civil Society Practices for and with Small Farmers to delve into the heart of food security and sustainable development through the lens of gender+ inclusivity and small-scale farming.
She will be joined by two co-speakers Aylin Topal, an Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University, and Martin Felix Gajdusek, researcher at ZSI and ACCTING partner.
